The Shopify subscription app built for skincare brands.

Skincare is a routine, and every product in it runs out at a different rate. Curobi runs per-product replenishment, build-your-own regimens, and seasonal curated boxes on Shopify's native billing — with 0% transaction fees and migration from your current app on the Pro plan.

Why skincare subscriptions are their own problem

A skincare routine isn't one product on one cadence — it's a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturizer that each deplete at their own pace. A cleanser might last six weeks and a serum three months, so a real program lets each product ride its own frequency instead of forcing the whole routine onto one clock.

Skincare also converts on regimen and sampling: customers add products as their routine grows, and trial sizes are how full-size subscriptions get sold. That makes build-your-own selection and curated discovery boxes central — and flat pricing matters, because a percentage cut off every recurring charge compounds fast on a multi-product routine.

What you can run

Routine replenishment

Subscribe-and-save on each product at its own cadence — a cleanser every six weeks, a serum every three months — so the routine never runs dry and never overstocks.

What this means →

Build-your-own regimen

Let customers assemble their own recurring regimen from your eligible products, each on the frequency that fits how fast it's used. A per-item limit and cutoff lock the selection before billing.

What this means →

Seasonal curated box

A merchant-curated box that swaps the routine for the season — lighter in summer, richer in winter — and rotates in new launches to keep discovery alive.

What this means →

Prepaid regimen

A fixed 3- or 6-month term billed upfront — skincare rewards consistency, and a prepaid course commits the customer to the window where results actually show.

Built on Shopify's native rails

Every recurring charge runs on Shopify Subscription Contracts and Shopify's own checkout — there's no third-party billing processor, no redirect, and Curobi never touches or stores card data. Your reviews, loyalty, email/SMS, and analytics apps see subscription orders exactly the way they see any other Shopify order. It also keeps your products on the same native product and checkout layer Shopify exposes to its agentic-commerce and AI shopping features, instead of behind a proprietary widget those agents may not read.

Setting up a skincare subscription

  1. Create per-product plans

Set a cadence for each product that matches how fast it depletes, plus any subscribe-and-save discount, and apply them across your routine.

  2. Add the purchase-option widget

The widget renders inside your existing theme so shoppers can buy once or subscribe from the same product page — no separate checkout or redirect.

  3. Set the box cutoff

For curated boxes or build-your-own regimens, set the cutoff so each selection is locked before the recurring charge and before fulfillment.

  4. Turn on the portal and recovery

A self-service portal (skip, pause, adjust the regimen, change frequency) and automatic failed-payment recovery are included, so customers manage their routine without emailing you.

Keeping skincare subscribers (reducing churn)

The biggest churn drivers in skincare are products piling up because everything ships on one clock, wanting to adjust the routine, and failed payments that silently cancel customers mid-regimen. Curobi counters each — per-product frequencies so nothing overstocks, a self-service portal to skip or change frequency, build-your-own regimens so a customer edits instead of leaving, save flows that offer a pause instead of a cancel, and automatic dunning that retries declined cards. Letting a customer skip a shipment instead of cancelling is the single most effective retention lever — see churn for why.

Switching from another app

Moving off a tool that takes a cut of every recurring charge is free: Curobi provides CSV-based migration from Recharge, Appstle, Loop, Bold, or Seal without interrupting active subscriptions. Compare the specifics: vs Recharge, vs Appstle, or vs Loop.

Skincare brands FAQ

Is there a Shopify subscription app for skincare brands?
Yes. Per-product routine replenishment, build-your-own regimens with a per-item cutoff, and seasonal curated boxes are all native features in Curobi. With 0% transaction fees and CSV migration from Recharge, Appstle, Loop, Bold, or Seal on the Pro plan, it fits skincare brands running multi-product routines without giving up a cut of every recurring charge.
Can each product in a routine ship on its own schedule?
Yes. Curobi lets each product carry its own cadence, so a cleanser that lasts six weeks and a serum that lasts three months don't have to ship on the same clock. Subscribers manage every product's frequency from one customer portal, which keeps a routine from either running dry or piling up.
